Good but different book. Kept you reading to figure it out.
This marvelous book should be taught as literature. Beautifully written and plotted with believable characters' trauma and responses developed over half a lifetime.
I felt a bit let down when I had finished reading. Though I hadn't bought it, but lent it from a librairy, there was a sense of disappointment.
This is one of the very few books that I read through once more, right after I finished it the first time. (The only other times I did this were when I read "Ethan Frome" and "A long day's journey into night".
