You can argue with me all you want - But - I still say that actor, George Reeves made the best "Superman" of all.This TV series of the "Adventures of Superman" is a real joy to watch for nostalgia buffs.
I like this series. I prefer the color episodes.
Probably the first modern super hero TV series, and at the time it was first on air was more famous than the comic it was based on.Every episode of this series is a classic.
As a kid watching this show back in the fifties, I would bug my dad so many times when things made no sense at all. It must have drove him nuts to hear me complain every so often.
I just purchased the whole series. Some things can look terrible with age and time is not very kind to some TV shows from the 50,s but I am pleased to say that Superman looks wonderful.
His job is more than admirable. The honest hero, the dedicated savior, the best citizen.

Famed super hero series of the 50s.I personally liked the first season the most (but it did contain the odd stinker) as it had a better Lois Lane actress and the general tone of the series was grimmer than the later years, in fact it often resembled a 30s/40s/50s movie serial in tone.
