Any show about the 1920's automatically gets a high score for some reason. I don't get why people here like the show so much.
You have to watch it in the original German language to appreciate how brilliant this show is.
The first and second second are a treat as we expected from a high production value series but the show is going downhill in season 3 with a very weak storyline and no character development.
Despite the fact that my wife and I, she is German and I am English, live in Germany we never watch German TV. My wife says there is no comparison to what the UK produce which she considers superior to both German and US productions.
For all lovers of German cinema - it's totally back! Visually, artistically, musically.
To begin with, this is the first review I've ever left for any show. But this series is just so excellent in every way, that I felt compelled to do so!
Two and a half years later??? How is anyone suppose to remember what the show was about?
The third part reinforces the left-wing extremist tendencies of the first two seasons. The red aid and the communists are presented as good.
If you finish an episode you can't find motive to watch another , This series have everything in right place.
