Battlestar Galactica

The first two seasons of the show were engrossing and simply amazing. Any Sci-Fi fan will admit to that.

Don't see any logical base for most of the negative reviews. Most complain about plot holes, not staying true to the original, or the series being "pretentious" with the illusion of being intelligent.

This new series of Battlestar Galactica (BSG) seems to split audiences down the middle into those who love it and those who hate it. This review is aimed at readers who have never seen the series and hope to glean some insight into it.

I've used IMDb for years but never felt the need to create an account. After watching the entire Battlestar Galactica series I felt compelled to do so out of an acute need to express my revulsion.

There is a mini-series, which leads into 4 seasons of BG.I liked the premise of the story but the writing fails so miserably that you end up so many times lust saying "What?

The show started out as one of the greatest, best written shows I have seen. Some where along the way they either ran out of ideas or had a fear of success or something.

In this short journey, you experience honor, humanity, democracy, love, hate, fear, pride, spiritual, forgiveness, rebel, lost, angel, machine, conscience, friendship, trust, family, devotion, and so many more.The story is so telling, and you become part of the experience.

Bad scripts, annoying characters. Very kitschy at times.

In my opinion, Battlestar Galactica is the best show on television, hands down. I've read so many critical reviews, and all of them for the most part--both positive and scathing alike--acknowledge the same key traits that make the show exceptional.
