There was as much politics behind the scenes at CBS with this political soap opera as there was on screen. John Conboy, the producer of "The Young and the Restless" for almost 9 years, wanted to helm his own show, get out from under the thumb of Bill Bell, yet still be totally glamorous and relevant.
Capitol was the first us daytime soap opera to be shown on RAITV early 1983.It was wildly successful throughout its run in my country.
