The best thing about Cheers is every single regular of the cast fits perfectly because each personality is so different......Genius will always love this show.
Just like the great opening theme song says, a few episodes of this show will make you feel right at home!
"Cheers" had to have one of the most epic casts ever. Ted Danson, Rhea Perlman, John Ratzenberger, George Wendt, Shelley Long.
Cheers contains the best cast ever assembled for a sitcom. I've watched others, but none as good as Cheers, which lasted eleven seasons.
I can't say its the greatest sitcom ever but its definitely up there and the main characters make it so good that the odd episode that doesn't hit the mark is still enjoyable enough to keep on watching until the end....I wish Sam had married Miss howe as I thought she was a very sexy woman that would keep Sam on his toes for years to come but alas she marries a plumber but thankfully Sam didn't marry Diane and hopefully he's still chasing girls until the day he dies....
I was hooked until the end of season nine when the writers took a nasty turn! You can't allow someone to buy out half of your bar space and then use it as leverage against SAM!!
To understand why I live this show so much, you have to understand that I'm a ninth grader living in a small town that's very boring. So cheers represents something that I'll never have.
Not only was this show good enough to run a full eleven seasons, but, over twenty years after the last episode, it still holds up! The topics are still relevant, the dialogue is still funny, and you can still see real-life versions of these scenarios play out in your local favorite watering hole.
After a hard day there's nothing like watching an episode or five of Cheers. Like the theme song says, sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows you'd name.
