This is a good version of the book, but flawed in some serious ways. Why they didn't let the story unfold as in the book I will never understand.
Yes, it is now here in the UK and I have just watched episode 2. I wont be watching episode 3 or any other for that matter.
Pfogertyca has it right. "What could have been an intriguing story has been ruined by a terrible script and even more terrible acting, not to mention a ridiculously over-the-top attempt at political correctness.
Jesus, I've been meaning to do a review about this for a while. There's a reason Robertson's other shows tanked in their first seasons.
I give it a 2 solely because it's based on a brilliant novel by Stephen King but I can't for the life of me fathom why he's still executive producer - I'd be running away as fast as Bolt from this destruction of his novel. The acting is wooden, esp the Barbie character.
Without need to assault any viewers, i just advice you not to compare the show with the book. There is enough in common to tell from which book it is, but the rest is altered.
I like this show. The only thing i would say is the music sometimes plays too loud for the dialog between characters to hear.
I have watched all of the episodes of this show released so far, trying to 'get into it' , but I'm really struggling to be interested in it. The acting is bad.
Extremely slow and drawn out plot. I have watched soap operas with more acting skills and I am sorry but this show is lame.
