Professor David Wilson was born in Bridge of Allan, Scotland. He grew up with three sisters, Alison, Annie & Maggie in Carluke, Lanarkshire. He attended Wishaw High School, Glasgow University, Selwyn College Cambridge and made an early appearance on university challenge. David now works as a Professor in Birmingham City University.
