Biography

Born in Glasgow, Frank Gallacher is a Costume and Fashion Designer based in London. Beginning as a pattern cutter for Nicole Farhi he has worked for over 20 years across fashion, film, TV and the advertising industry in Europe, the United States, North Africa and Australia. He has worked regularly with Channel 4's creative department on many of their award winning promos and identities for over 10 years as well as most major UK TV channels including BBC, SKY, Discovery, Disney and ITV. He has been a lecturer in Fashion and Pattern cutting and holds an MA in Womenswear Design from Central St Martin's, London, which he received in 2004 under the tutelage of Professor Louise Wilson O.B.E. He has extensive experience and knowledge of period costume through film work spanning 15 years working for some of the biggest names in cinema from Wim Wenders to Stephen Spielberg, his most recent role being Assistant Costume Designer and Lead Researcher on Starwars by JJ Abrams. He runs a Fashion Label called Gallacher.
