Biography

Born in South Amboy, New Jersey, Greg Evigan grew up in Sayreville. While in high school he won acclaim as Cornelius Hackl in Hello Dolly, which won the New Jersey High School Musical Contest. One month after graduating from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 1971, Greg auditioned for and won a part in the Broadway show "Jesus Christ Superstar." He also joined the cast of a touring company, playing the lead in the musical "Grease". Since the mid-1970s, he has amassed over 100 acting credits. His two most famous television roles were, _"B.J. and the Bear" is a singer/songwriter.

Trivia

In the TV series "Fame" , he played the love interest of Valerie Landsburg. He sang a duet with her which he composed himself. The title of the duet was "Lucky Enough for Two", which appeared on the album "The Kids From Fame Sing For You".

He was born in South Amboy and raised in nearby Sayreville, New Jersey.

Father, with Pamela Serpe , of son Jason Evigan , a musician who makes music on his own in the "After Midnight Project", daughters Vanessa Evigan and Briana Evigan.

He was inducted in the 2007 Sayreville War Memorial High School Alumni Hall of Fame for his contributions to the arts.
