Janet Varney is a comedian, actor, writer and producer. In the animation world, she is lucky enough to be the voice of "Korra" on Nickelodeon's hit series, _"The Legend of Korra" . Janet is the host of the popular Nerdist podcast, "The JV Club", and the co-founder, creative director, and producer of one of the largest and most acclaimed comedy festivals in North America, "SF Sketchfest: the San Francisco Comedy Festival", now in its 15th year.
Graduated as salutatorian from Rincon High School in 1993; an alumna of San Francisco State University, where she majored in theater.
Was in a relationship with Chris Hardwick (2004-2011).
Born (as Janet Maureen Varney on February 16, 1976) and raised in Tucson, Arizona.
As a young adult, was diagnosed with depersonalization disorder.
Of English and Scottish descent.
