Son of John Bonham , who played drums in Led Zeppelin. His father died in 1980. Jason sometimes plays drums in place of his dad whenever the surviving members of Led Zeppelin get together for concerts (i.e. Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary 1988).

In 1988, Jason formed the band Bonham. They released two albums; The Disregard of Timekeeping which went gold, and Mad Hatter.

Daughter, Jaz, and a son Jager.

Played drums for Foreigner (2004 - 2008). In the middle of "Jukebox Hero", they would break into "Whole Lotta Love" as a tribute to Jasons father John.

Tours a tribute show entitled Jason Bonhams Led Zeppelin Experience, which performs songs by Led Zeppelin backed with archival footage of his father and family, and stories of Jasons life.

(January 2014) Lives in Boca Raton, Florida with his two children and wife. Performs with the Led Zeppelin Experience, and California Breed.

Wrote an article in 2012 in which he selected his favourite drummers. He chose his father John Bonham , Phil Collins , Joe Morello , Stewart Copeland and Keith Moon.

Prior to the 2007 Led performance at O2, Jason was asked, were he unable to make it to the gig, which drummer would he select to play the songs, and he suggested Dennis Chambers, stating that Chambers would get it, whereas most rock drummers would not.
