She is the younger sister of former model and current co-owner of Jemma and Ginnis Make-up School, Jemma Kidd.

Jodie went to St Michaels boarding school for girls in Sussex, England.

She has a sister called Jemma and brother called Jack.

She was introduced to the IMG agency after photographer Terry ONeill discovered her in September 1994, at a Barbados Ball in London. She was just 16 years old at the time and within a week was being booked by magazines.

One of her great-grandfathers on her fathers side was Lord Beaverbrook , and one of her great-grandfathers on her mothers side was ship-builder Sir Rowland Hodge.

Gave birth to her 1st child at age 32, a son named Indio Vianini Kidd on September 5, 2011 via C-section after he was overdue. Childs father is her now ex-boyfriend, Andrea Vianini.

(August 16, 2014) Married for the 2nd time her boyfriend of 9 months following an 8-month-long engagement.
