He has a total of five children from his 3 marriages.

Served in the U.S. Marines for three years including 13 months in Vietnam. Honorably Discharged as SSgt.

Was a contender for the role of James "Sonny" Crockett on "Miami Vice" , but lost the part to Don Johnson.

Larrys two oldest children from his marriage to Judy Vagner are Derek Wilcox and Heidi Wilcox. Daughter Wendy Wilcox is from his marriage to second wife Hannie Strasser. His two youngest children, Ryan and Chad, were born to him and his current wife Marlene Harmon , who was once a member of the 1980 Olympic Heptathalon Team.

Was up for the Nick Nolte role in the miniseries "Rich Man, Poor Man" .

Rumors of friction began to surface between Larry and co-star Erik Estrada late in the 1978-1979 season on the "CHiPS" set. When Erik Estrada married late in 1979, Wilcox was not invited. Larry married his second wife four months later and returned the compliment. Estradas serious motorcycle injury at the beginning of the 1979-1980 season did not repair the relationship. Time, however, has seemed to heal all wounds and they have kept in touch occasionally in recent years.

He produced, directed, written, and starred in a childrens video called The Little CHP , which tells the story of two little boys who dream of becoming CHP motor officers.

His only sister (he had two other brothers) was slain in front of her three children and her own mother in Wyoming. Her husband was accused of the murder but acquitted in a celebrated trial. He was subsequently killed in a barroom brawl.

Member of DeMolay in Rawlins, Wyoming, where he served as Master Councilor of Rawlins Chapter.

Sentenced, in a Ft. Lauderdale, Florida courtroom on January 28, 2011, to three years probation for conspiring to commit securities fraud.

(August 2006) Spending most of his time in a ranch in San Fernando Valley, CA. Runs from there his company UC HUB Group, Inc. (their corporative offices are in Las Vegas) and enjoys the company of his wife and sons.
