Michael took a Science degree at the University of Wales and later trained as a professional actor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He also has extensive skills in music: piano and choral. He has performed at over 40 professional theatres around the UK. He has essayed important roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company and has made over twenty film and television appearances.
Appeared in over 70 commercials between 1969 and 1976, including the first Flintstone Vitamins ad.
He was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2011 Queens Birthday Honors List for his services to the Electricity Industry. He is the Chairman of EA Technology.
