Two of his cartoon characters have the same distinctive white hair coloring - "John Butler" of "Valley of the Dinosaurs" and "Race Bannon" of "Jonny Quest" .
In two separate episodes of Clint Walker s "Cheyenne" , Roads voice was dubbed over the credited actors voices. He was not credited in either of these episodes. In "Cheyenne" {The Greater Glory } he overdubbed actor Tod Griffin in the role of Rafe Donovan, and in "Cheyenne" {Sweet Sam (#7.3)} he overdubbed actor Jackson Halliday in the role of Pastor Morgan. No reason has surfaced to explain why Warner Brothers used Roads voice rather than the credited actors in the two episodes. However, this voiceover work predates his first voice role in an animated series ( "Jonny Quest" ), and was a precursor to his greatest claim to fame as one of most recognizable voice actors in the genre.
