Father of four.

Founder of The Comic Strip, a group of comedians who gathered at The Revue bar in Londons Soho in the early 1980s. Soon after The Group were signed to channel 4 where they made a series of pioneering comedy TV films featuring the likes of Adrian Edmondson , Rik Mayall , Jennifer Saunders and Robbie Coltrane , they made a few films for the BBC but returned to Channel 4 for "The Comic Strip Presents..." {Four Men in a Car (#8.1)} and "The Comic Strip Presents..." {Four Men in a Plane (#8.2)} .

Comedy partner of Nigel Planer. Both he and Nigel worked at Peters parents summer camp.

The part of Mike in "The Young Ones" was written for him, but he dropped out due to disagreements with the producer, Paul Jackson.

Both of his sons have appeared in Stella Street . His son Jack worked as a Gaffer and had a part as a Supermarket Employee, and his son Red was part of a Tour Party visiting Al Pacino s house.

Is a strong believer in sports in schools.
