Biography

Born in Minden, Nebraska, the youngest of three sons. Grew up in Hays, Kansas and Richmond, Kentucky. Graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Colorado College in International Political Economics. Played basketball in college, setting the single season scoring record his senior year. Started his professional career in the theater in New York City. An original founding member of The New Group Theater Company. He splits his time between New York City and rural Pennslyvania. He is the proud father of two children from a previous marriage, Zebulon Jeremiah with his wife, Mandy Bruno.

His hobby is Traditional Tae-KwonDo, for which he holds a third degree black belt.

After a mercury-filled blood pressure device cracked on the set of "Guiding Light," along with several cast members, he was ordered into quarantine while New York Citys health department examined them. They were all given a clean bill of health.

Married to Guiding Light co-star Mandy Bruno Bogue.

Robert has two children with his ex-wife Anouk Dirkse - a son Zebulon Jeremiah (b.2003) and a daughter Zoe Chinook (b.2005). He also has one child with his current wife Mandy Bruno - a son, Flynn Zachariah .

After growing up as a fan of Herman Melville and James Fenimore Cooper, Robert discovered, later in life, that he is related to both men.

On his mothers side, Robert shares a great grandfather with Montgomery Cliff.
