Robin McCaffery played the part of Jeannie Grant in the Dr Finley series 4 episode 4 . It was while he was getting dressed that he realized that she had lied. A relationship developed over the rest of the program, that led to a reticent Dr Finlay being persuaded by Jeannie to carry out a cataract operation on her father in the home because he had refused to go into hospital for the procedure. Once he'd carried the surgery out, he asked Jeannie if she'd come and visit him, but she basically said, she'd only done what she'd done to get him to free her from her father, who had used his blindness to blackmail her into to serving on him hand and foot.
