Sarah died instantly from her injuries after she was hit by a train. At the time of her accident, Sarah had been living in Atlanta, GA.

Sarah was a cheerleader at Brookland-Cayce High School. She grew up in West Columbia, SC.

Sarah Elizabeth Jones was a 2005 graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School. Sarah received a major in Media Communications and a minor in Film Studies from College of Charleston in 2009.

An online petition to have her included in the 2014 Academy Awards "In Memoriam" segment received over 62,000 signatures, included cinematographer Haskell Wexler. While she was not included in the actual video montage, a bar with her name and picture was broadcast before the commercial break.

Died while she was shooting, on location, for Midnight Rider (????). The film crew placed a mattress on a set of railroad tracks in Doctortown, Georgia when suddenly a train approached. Several other crew members were injured and production of the movie was suspended.

Before she relocated to Atlanta, GA, Sarah lived in Charleston, SC. Sarah eventually moved to Atlanta for more film opportunities.
