Born in Chennai in 1976, Sriram Parthasarathy graduated from IIT and decided to pursue in career in singing. After undergoing training from a local vocalist, Parthasarathy began recording songs in the classical genre and made his professional debut in Kovil. Since then, he has worked for many prominent music directors like A.R. Rahman, Ilaiyaraaja, and Harris Jayaraj and has also won multiple accolades.
