In 2014 he told his own story of child abuse at the hands of his mother after he heard the story of Adrian Peters who beat his son with a switch.
Was the host of Good Rockin Tonite on the CBC from 1985-1993. He decided that the show should end because of its inability to compete with Much Music.
I used to think that breaking the circle of abuse involved not getting,married and not having kids. I never thought that I would be an abusive,husband and father. I just thought that I was too poorly equipped and,too scarred to be a father. In fact the opposite turned out to be true.
