British ballet dancer
Wayne Sleep studied with The Royal Ballet, and joined the company in 1966, becoming one of its principal dancers. He played "Mistoffelees" in the original London production of "Cats".
He was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 1998 Queens Honours List for his services to ballet and dance.
