He is a former columnist for PlaybackSTL Magazine. He left at the end of 2005 to focus upon his growing role as a screenwriter-for-hire.

Graduated from Pattonville Senior High in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

In 1999, he joined the Brand X Comedy Troupe for one season, where he enjoyed some success with the audiences that he performed before. He left shortly after to co-produce April Is My Religion, a film directed by Bill Boll, one of the "legendary" Splicers.

He regularly serves as a short film jury member for St. Louis International Film Festival. He was a part of the jury that was responsible for making the short film West Bank Story eligible for an Academy Award. Not only did West Bank Story get nominated for best short, it was also awarded the Oscar.
