Vaccine was the solo recording project of Christchurch musician David Khan between late 1994 and mid 1996. It served as a testing ground for musical ideas adopted and/or rejected by the group leonard Nimoy , and as such, sonically mirrored the group project: Boss DR550MkII drum machine rhythms, drones, treated guitar and analogue synths, and a variety of lo-fi samples, tape loops & dictaphone effects. Khan fleshed out the sound with live and sampled acoustic textures, anticipating his later solo work as Drawing Room.
